A World to Discover
Discovery Bay is a safe, friendly and engaging environment for children to discover themselves and the world around them.Our Montessorri Preschool runs Monday to Friday 9am to 12:30pm.Our Afterschool Club runs Monday to Friday 1:30pm to 5pm.

We are a Montessori Preschool that incorporates creative, play-based and nature-based activities.

Our preschool operates a classroom for the "smallies" and "the big kids" with a Montessori teacher in each room, supported by friendly and qualified staff.The smallies have a chance to free-play, learn songs and games, and get used to being away from home.The big kids get ready for primary school with circle time, early literacy and focused learning time - in between lots of playing.
Afterschool Club
Our Afterschool Club is available for Primary School children living in Dunmore East and the surrounding areas.
For Junior Infants to 6th Class
Monday to Friday, 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Natural Learning
We promote learning through real-life experiences, nurturing each child's natural love for discovery.We use open ended resources, loose parts, authentic materials and Montessori equipment to encourage investigation.
Child-Led
We use a child-led approach, allowing children to follow their curiosity and imagination.The children are free to move around and play within the limits of the prepared open plan setting.
Play-Based
In line with Aistear, we support children in developing the personal, social and emotional aspects of learning through a play-based environment.
Outdoors
We endeavour to use our garden and be outdoors as much as possible.We believe that there is no unsuitable weather, only unsuitable clothing!
